More calories burnt than consumed(cal deficit) = lost weight combined with proper diet is the best bet. If you've lost 50 pounds you're doing something right. Almost anything that gets your heart rate up will burn calories. Biking, running, walking, sparring, lifting (higher reps with lighter weight to emphasize weight loss), HIIT, dancing, whatever..

I'd also recommend drinking a lot of tea and black coffee for caffeine.

Are you trying to loose weight for a certain event or just loose weight straight up?

maybe he meant he had some "loose" weight on him? my rule of thumb about eating is never get full and try to stay away from food high in calories/carbs for the most part though we all need to indulge every once in a while and train hard--whether it be weights.cardio/ you're gonna sweat and burn calories

No because he said, "to loose more weight." Not a big deal though lol

hey, i was up to about 240 in in dec. 07, i started watchin my calories and hit the gym 20+ hours a week, by march i was 204 lbs but no matter what i did i started gaining weight. so i saw an infomercial for p90x and i was ordered it. the workouts were extremely hard (and i was in pretty good shape) but after 2 weeks i was 193, then after another month i was 180. the muscle confusion techniques work very well. i stopped the program 45 days in to take a break. i never started back. if you can give a very hard hour a day then its great. its expensive so i would try to download it somewhere for free. im up to 220 myself now so im about to jump back on it. its probably the only weight loss infomercial that isnt a scam

well i have been watching my diet a lot, i eat just 2 boiled eggs with 1 piece of toast in the morning. lunch i eat a salad, then at supper i just eat 1/2 of what i used to.

im also doing it to lose weight and for event.

problem with me is i have not done eny running for my cardio , the only cardio i have been getting is submission/ sparring training with friends

for someone who never runs what would be a good idea/ just run every day or every other day
or do i just keep what im doing??

I've just lost 40 pounds myself through diet and exercises.
Diet is actually the key to losing weight, not exercises. For example, I can run for 30 minutes and only burn 400 calories. If I then eat a slice of pizza, consider that all this running was a waste of time because this slice of pizza had around 400 calories. So, counting the calories is important because you can lose weight without doing any exercises.
You can lose weight by boosting your metabolism through diet by changing calorie intake each day. Please visit http://www.naturalphysiques.com/tools.php?itemid=64 to learn more.

In terms of workouts, you can do anything you like. For example, I run 3 times a week 6 km, and 3 times a week I do a whole body work out: push ups, pull ups, crunches, some neck and lower back exercises. I repeat each of these exercise one after another for 10-15 minutes or so without stopping. So, I train both strength and endurance. I don't lift any weights.
There are tons of other workouts like swimming or biking, skiing etc. Do what you like.
