We just bought a small farm and plan to get back to nature growing our own vegetables and raising some chickens and goats. Worried about the economy and do not want to stand in 'food lines' if it comes to that. The lines for ice in the aftermath of hurricanes in 2004 were a nightmare. I was actually going backwards with so many cutting in front of me. Terrible experience.
Lots to learn to make the farm productive. Canning, what and when to plant, how to care for the animals....ect... Spending this winter doing what we can outside, weather permiting and reading up on stuff when the weather is bad.
I fell into a barbed wire fence last week while trying to jump over a spring and got pretty tangled up. Legs, butt and arms scratched pretty bad. Ouch! Then not five minutes later fell flat on my face going uphill. Thats me.

Stop in and keep me company anytime. Moms sitting next to me most of the time watching her tv shows (old westerns) rather loudly. She fell a couple weeks ago and broke her collar bone and 2 ribs. Poor thing. I gotta help her in bed now...
